In the Conrad Big Data team, we develop and operate a platform that serves as the basis for data exchange, reports, analysis and AI. Keywords such as high-performance, scalable, central data storage, company-wide usability, provision of data for internal and external apps, self-service, etc. drive us every day. Your contribution to success

Design and implementation of new features, services and applications for our Big Data platform
Architectural thinking and implementation of requirements
Strategic co-design of future-oriented software systems and system architectures in the area of Big Data.
Supporting the team through training, code reviews and assistance with problems
Effective teamwork, clear communication and contribution of expertise to team meetings
Continuous improvement through a lively feedback culture in the team
Solution-oriented and creative way of thinking

Your success factors

Successfully completed studies in computer science, business informatics or completed training as an IT specialist (or a comparable qualification)
Several years of professional experience as a software engineer with a strong focus on Java or Python
Sound ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative and sustainable solutions
Proven experience in streaming technologies, ideally with Apache Kafka
Strong ability and motivation to quickly familiarize yourself with new technologies and concepts
Solid experience in working with databases (both relational SQL databases and NoSQL databases)
Basic knowledge of the frontend framework Vue. js is desirable.
Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), Linux operating systems and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is an advantage
Good written and spoken German and English skills
