As (Senior) Legal Counsel Commercial & Compliance (m/f/nb), you are the interface and contact person for all legal issues relating to ongoing business and its further development as well as internationalization, with the exception of data protection. You will also act as one of our compliance consultants. You are part of a team that combines quality and pragmatism and report to our Group General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer.

Your contribution to success

You provide our specialists and managers with comprehensive advice on a wide range of legal issues in the areas of contracts, regulatory and, if necessary, disputes
Independently drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (including general terms and conditions), primarily in B2B and for sales, direct and indirect procurement and IT
Monitoring regulatory developments in Germany and at EU level with significance for (online) retailers and marketplace operators and initiating the necessary adjustments to the organization and our contracts (e.g. marketplace T&Cs)
Supporting the sustainable implementation of our Compliance Management System (CMS), e.g. as a contact person for questions and comments and by organizing and conducting training courses

Your success factors

You have successfully completed a degree in law or training as a commercial lawyer (m/f/nb); admission as a lawyer (m/f/nb) is an advantage, but not a requirement
You have at least initial professional experience in the negotiation of contracts and in general commercial law, ideally also in eCommerce, IT, competition and antitrust law
You enjoy working proactively and in partnership with the business, immersing yourself in the practical depths of a company, its business model and its processes and contributing your knowledge and creativity in such a way that the best possible results are achieved that are legally viable and move us forward entrepreneurially
You communicate in German and English with the right degree of assertiveness and in a way that is appropriate to the target audience and confident in negotiations
You are prepared to use your German legal tools and your trained judgment to support matters from non-German Group companies at a common sense level
