We're seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) with a true "can-do" attitude to join our dynamic and international agile team in Hirschau or Munich. You'll be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing our cutting-edge eCommerce solutions, working with modern cloud-native technologies and contributing significantly to our technical excellence. You'll also be a key player in driving best practices and mentoring junior team members, embodying a true lead-by-example approach.

Your contribution to success

Developing User Interfaces: Create and maintain user-friendly, accessible, and responsive interfaces for the Conrad E-Commerce Platform.
Solve Complex Problems: Dive deep into challenging technical issues, identify root causes, and implement elegant, efficient, and maintainable solutions.
Architect & Design: Contribute to the architectural evolution of our high-traffic eCommerce platform, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.
Develop & Innovate: Write clean, idiomatic, well-tested, and highly performant TypeScript code using the Vue.js & Nuxt.js framework, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
Lead by Example: Act as a technical mentor and role model for less experienced developers, sharing your knowledge, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with Product Managers, Backend Engineers, QAs, and other stakeholders in an international and distributed agile environment. Clearly articulate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Drive Excellence: Champion modern software development methodologies and concepts (CI/CD, TDD, Domain-driven Design) and ensure their effective application within the team. Contribute to and maintain frontend engineering standards, participate in code reviews, and ensure high code quality.
Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies and trends to keep our platform at the forefront of innovation.

Your success factors

Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and the Vue.js framework and its ecosyste, or equivalent Frameworks (like Next and React).
Ability and willingness to work on front-of-the-frontend and back-of-the-frontend topics alike
Architectural Knowledge / Design Acumen in designing and building extendable, high-performing, accessible and delightful frontend experiences.
Strong understanding of common software design patterns and anti-patterns, with the ability to identify when and how to apply them effectively.
Experience with Performance Optimization: Familiarity with common performance monitoring approaches and optimization techniques.
In-depth knowledge of API design principles (RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger) and best practices for influencing and consuming robust and consumer-friendly interfaces.
Proficient in modern software development methods and practices, including:
- Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Unit Testing
- Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
- Versioning (Git, with strong branching strategies)
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar.
- Understanding of common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and secure coding practices (Nice to Have).
Experience with working on high-traffic / low latency eCommerce platforms, understanding the unique challenges of performance and scalability. Proven ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
