Our recipe for success

We are a reliable partner who makes the sourcing of technical supplies as easy and efficient as it gets for customers. We do this with passion and innovativeness, day in day out. Our product range comprises millions of quality items, customer-centric solutions and services, and face-to-face expert advice. We are fully committed to this mission. We see change as a catalyst for opportunities, and supply customers with everything they need to successfully complete their projects. As a family-run business, operating in a sustainable way and building long-term business relationships are paramount to us. We stand for quality and reliability.

You are the operational and strategic mind behind our secure architectural landscape. As a Platform Security Architect (m/f/nb) you will be the primary security partner to our infrastructure and development teams. You will move beyond day-to-day operations to focus on establishing security governance, hardening our cloud-native environments and driving our ISO 27001 compliance and Zero-Trust maturity. You will serve as the bridge between development, operations and compliance.

Your contribution to success

  • Security Governance & Compliance: You will lead our efforts in aligning our technical landscape with ISO 27001 standards. You will define, maintain, and operationalize security policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Security Architecture & CNAPP: You will design and optimize the architecture for our cloud-native environments, with a specific focus on managing CNAPP solutions and workflows to provide end-to-end visibility and protection.
  • Secure SDLC (SSDLC) Integration: You will collaborate with development teams and embed security into the development lifecycle, ensuring that threat modeling, and vulnerability management are seamlessly integrated into our tech and processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will act as the key advisor to our development and infrastructure teams, coaching them on "Secure-by-Design" principles and helping them balance feature velocity with robust security controls.
  • Risk & Vulnerability Management: You will establish proactive vulnerability management processes, prioritizing risks based on business relevance and ensuring that remediation is tracked and actioned effectively.

Your success factors

  • Education & Experience: A degree in (IT) security, computer science, or a related field.
Security Expertise: In-depth understanding of cloud-native security, including CNAPP tooling, container security and infrastructure-as-code hardening. You have at least 10 years of experience in software development, including at least 5 years in a key role with security responsibility within an organization of 5+ development teams.
  • Methodological Skills: Proven experience in applying and auditing against frameworks such as ISO 27001. You understand the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle and how to translate controls into actionable technical tasks.
  • Communication & Advocacy: You can translate complex security requirements into simple, actionable guidance for non-security teams. You have the persistence to drive change and the empathy to foster a "security-by-default" culture.
  • Technical Mindset: You have a strong grasp of modern threat scenarios and defense mechanisms in hybrid environments (e.g., OWASP Top 10, Zero Trust tenets).
  • Architectural Expertise: You possess deep knowledge of software architecture and system design and successfully apply common architectural patterns.
  • Certifications: Ideally, you hold certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud-native security certifications (e.g., CCSP, Azure/GCP security architecture certifications).
  • Languages: You have very good English skills (C1); German language skills are an advantage.
