The Head of Market Management (m/f/nb) leads a team of Market Managers of our Digital Market Channels (DMC). This role is responsible for the overall strategic direction, performance and development of the team. In this role you will ensure that the team effectively leverages market intelligence, data-driven strategies and cross-functional collaboration to drive category growth, optimize profitability, and enhance Conrad's competitive position in the digital marketplace.

Your contribution to success

  • Team Leadership & Development: Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of three Market Managers by setting aligned goals and KPIs as well as providing coaching, feedback and performance management to them and fostering a collaborative high-performing team environment.
  • Strategic Oversight: Define and implement the overall market management strategy for DMCs, ensuring alignment of individual category strategies with broader business goals through monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Performance Management: Tracking and reporting the team performance against established KPIs. Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions and strategies to optimize category performance while managing P&L responsibilities for the overall DMC market management function.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with marketing, supply chain, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of market strategies, facilitating strong communication and coordination across teams to drive alignment on key initiatives and priorities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of market management operations, ensuring that best practices are shared and consistently implemented across the team.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular, comprehensive reports and updates to senior management on team performance, key market trends, and strategic initiatives, while also communicating effectively and proactively with all relevant stakeholders at all levels.

Your success factors

  • 7+ years of experience in Category Management, Market Intelligence, or Vendor Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in market research and competitor benchmarking.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI platforms).
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication  and stakeholder management skills.
