Your Studies – Your Choice

You will study Applied Business Information Systems at the OTH Amberg-Weiden. Within our company, you have the opportunity to choose one of two focal points, both of which are central to Conrad’s future:

 Focus: E-Commerce Management
This specialization is all about creating the perfect digital shopping experience on our platform.

  • Customer Journey & UX: You analyze how customers navigate conrad.de and develop concepts to improve usability.
  • Platform Economy: You assist in onboarding marketplace partners and learn how to manage massive digital assortments effectively.
  • Conversion Optimization: You support A/B testing and use web analytics to derive measures that drive sales growth.
  • Interface Management: You work closely with Marketing and Product Management to find IT solutions for new business models.

 

Focus: AI Management
In this track, you become the bridge between complex data models and real business value.

  • Smart Business Solutions: You identify company processes (e.g., in logistics or customer service) that can be optimized through Artificial Intelligence.
  • Data Science & Analytics: You help evaluate large datasets to forecast trends (Predictive Analytics) or generate personalized recommendations.
  • Prompt Engineering & GenAI: You experiment with modern language models to automate internal workflows or provide new AI tools for our employees.
  • Ethics & Governance: You support the development of guidelines for the responsible use of AI technologies.

Your success factors

  • Education: High school diploma (Abitur) or vocational diploma (Fachabitur) with strong grades in Mathematics and Computer Science/Economics.
  • Digital Affinity: You are passionate about technology and want to understand the "digital engine" behind global commerce.
  • Analytical Skills: You enjoy breaking down complex problems and finding logical, data-driven solutions.
    Communication: You can explain technical topics in a way that non-IT colleagues can easily understand.
