We are seeking a Director of Market Management & Marketing Technology (m/f/nb) to start as soon as possible.
In this crucial leadership role, you will be responsible for the overall strategic orientation, the performance, and the development of the Market Management & Marketing Tech division. You will be directly managing three central teams of experts with the goal of accelerating our digital business through data-driven excellence:
- Market Management: Controlling and managing all customer-related factors in the web shop to optimize conversion rates and market success.
- Marketing Analytics: Collecting and analyzing complex shopper and customer data to gain deep insights into customer behavior and optimize business management and shop performance.
- Data Campaign Team: Generating and providing all necessary data assets for the successful and efficient implementation of our marketing campaigns.
Your role is to effectively leverage market insights, data-driven strategies, and interdisciplinary collaboration to drive category growth, optimize profitability, and strengthen Conrad's competitive position in the digital marketplace environment in the long term.
Your contribution to success
- Team leadership & development: Leading, mentoring, and developing three teams - two teams have a team lead - by setting coordinated goals and KPIs and providing coaching, feedback, and performance management to foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Strategic management: Defining and implementing the overall strategy for market management and aligning individual category strategies with general corporate goals. Monitoring market trends and competitor activities ensures that market opportunities are identified and exploited. In the area of marketing technology, the latest technologies are used to deepen insights into customer behavior and make them scalable for use with AI-driven tools.
- Performance Management: Tracking and reporting on team performance compared to established KPIs. Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing remedial measures to optimize category performance while maintaining P&L responsibility for all digital channels.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Effective collaboration with marketing, supply chain, sales and other departments to ensure smooth implementation of market strategies. Fostering strong communication and coordination between teams to promote alignment on key initiatives and priorities.
- Process optimization: In the field of marketing technology in particular, a key focus is the identification and implementation of process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing processes and to ensure the exchange and consistent application of best practices across the entire team.
- Reporting & communication: Preparing regular, comprehensive reports and updates for top management on team performance, key market trends and strategic initiatives, as well as communicating effectively and proactively with all relevant stakeholders at all levels.
Your success factors
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, data analysis, marketing, or a related field.
- At least seven years of relevant professional experience in category management, market intelligence, or vendor management.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in market research and competitor benchmarking.
- You are proficient in using data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI platforms).
- Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and P&L management.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment is your unique attribute.
- You have excellent communication skills in German (C2 level) and English (B2 level) and are good at interacting with various stakeholders.
